The biochemical laboratory values such as serum calcium, inorganic phosphorous, total alkaline phosphatate and creatinine and also the radiological films were obtained at the beginning and at the end of therapy. All of them were evaluated with tests developed for functional capacity, mobility and pain. Although no significant change were obtained for laboratory values and radiological findings, functional capacity an mobility increased and pain decreased significantly. 18 patients encountered nausea and vomiting and feeling of warmth as an adverse effect of the drug was observed in 7 patients.
