YouTube Platformundaki De Quervain Tenosinovitiyle İlişkili Sağlık Hizmeti Bilgilerinin Kalitesi ve Güvenilirliği: Kesitsel Bir Çalışma

ÖZET
Amaç: YouTube, tıbbi bilgilere erişim için popülerlik kazanan bir platformdur. Ancak, çevrim içi sağlık bilgilerinin kalitesi ve güvenilirliği hakkında endişeler vardır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, YouTube’da De Quervain tenosinoviti ile ilgili yer alan sağlık hizmeti bilgilerinin içeriğini, güvenilirliğini ve kalitesini araştırmaktır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Kesitsel olarak tasarlanan bu çalışmada, 14 Şubat 2022 tarihinde “De Quervain tenosynovitis” anahtar kelimesi kullanılarak YouTube taraması yapıldı. Videonun yüklendiği tarihten itibaren geçen süre (gün), video süresi (dk), video kaynakları, görüntülenme sayısı ve beğenme sayısı kaydedildi. Videoların değerlendirmesi modifiye DISCERN, Global Kalite Ölçeği (GKÖ) ve Amerikan Tıp Derneği Dergisi (JAMA) benchmark kriterleri ile yapıldı. GKÖ’ye göre 3 kalite grubu (yüksek, orta ve düşük) oluşturuldu. Bulgular: Toplam 60 video tarandı ve dâhil edilme kriterlerini taşıyan 49 video çalışmaya dâhil edildi. YouTube’daki videoların çoğu doktorlar tarafından paylaşılmıştı (n=25, %51). Kalite sınıflandırmasına göre videoların %57’si yüksek kalitede, %23’ü orta kalitede ve %20’si düşük kalitede idi. Yüksek kaliteli videoların %78,6’sı doktorlar tarafından yüklenmişti. Görüntüleme, günlük izlenme, beğeni ve yorum sayısı açısından kalite grupları arasında anlamlı bir fark saptanmadı (tümü için p>0,05). Sonuç: YouTube’da De Quervain tenosinoviti ile ilgili paylaşılan videoların yaklaşık yarısı yüksek kalitededir. Kullanıcılar, videoların kalitesine beğeni, yorum ve görüntüleme sayısına göre karar vermemeli ancak, daha çok video kaynaklarına odaklanmalıdır.
ABSTRACT
Objective: YouTube is a popular platform for accessing medical information. However, there are concerns about the quality and reliability of them. The aim of this study was to investigate the content, reliability and quality of healthcare information associated with De Quervain’s tenosynovitis on YouTube. Material and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, a YouTube search was performed using the keyword “De Quervain tenosynovitis” on February 14, 2022. The number of days online, video duration (minutes), video sources, number of views, and number of likes were recorded. The evaluation of the videos was performed using the modified DISCERN, Global Quality Scale (GQS) and Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) benchmark criteria. Three quality groups (high, intermediate, and low) were created according to the GQS. Results: A total of 60 videos were evaluated and 49 videos meeting the inclusion criteria were included in the study. Most of the videos on YouTube were shared by doctors (n=25, 51%). According to the quality classification, 57% of the videos were high quality, 23% intermediate quality and 20% low quality. Seventy-eight-point six percent of high-quality videos were uploaded by doctors. There was no significant difference between the quality groups in terms of views, daily views, likes and comments (p>0.05 for all). Conclusion: Approximately half of the videos associated with De Quervain tenosynovitis on YouTube are of high quality. Users should not decide on the quality of videos according to the number of likes, comments, and views, but should focus more on sources of videos.
