ÖZET
Son yıllarda egzersizin, nöroinflamasyon ve nörodejenerasyonu baskılarken; motor, bilişsel ve psikiyatrik davranış özelliklerini düzeltici yönde etki ettiği deneysel ve klinik çalışmalarda gösterilmiştir. Kas ve periferik sinir sistemi düzeyinde başlatılan motor ve duysal uyarılarla, egzersizler, santral sinir sisteminde hipokampal öğrenme ve asosiasyon alanları arasındaki etkileşimle nöroplastisite organizasyonunun temelini başlatmaktadır. Düzenli egzersiz programı ile tekrarlı motor ve sensöriyel uyarılar yoluyla sessiz sinaptik canlanmaların oluşması, böylece ileri yaş gruplarında hafızada düzelme, öğrenme kapasitesinde artış ve sensörimotor fonksiyonlarda iyileşme sağlanabilmektedir. Egzersizin etkisiyle periferik immün sistem hücrelerinden salgılanan proinflamatuar etkiye sahip tümör nekrozis faktör-alfa, interferon-γ ve interlökin-1β düzeylerinde baskılanma olduğu, IL-4 ve 10 gibi anti inflamatuar sitokinlerin ve beyin türevli nörotrofik faktörün sentezinin arttığı ve artan beyin türevli nörotrofik faktör etkisiyle hipokampus, frontal, temporal korteks alanlarında sinaptogenezin uyarıldığı, leptin-insülin metabolizmasına da olumlu etkileri bildirilmiştir. Travmatik beyin hasarının yanı sıra sağlıklı beyinlerde egzersiz ve beslenme nörodejenerasyonun, nörorestorasyon lehine dönmesi, güçlü hafıza ve yeni bilgilerin kaydedilebilmesi için gerekli olmaktadır.
ABSTRACT
It has been documented by clinically and experimentally that; exercise suppresses neuroinflammation and degeneration whilst motor, cognitive and psychiatric disorders do improve with exercise. Motor and sensory stimuli applied through peripheral muscles and nervous system initiates the basis of the neuroplasticity by reorganising the interaction between hippocampal learning and cortical association areas. Exercise has the effect of suppression on proinflammatory mediators such as tumor necrosis factor-alpha, interferon-γ and interleukin-1β secreted from peripheral and mitochondrial immune system cells. Besides this, expression and serum levels of anti-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-4 and interleukin-10 are increased after exercise. Increased levels of brain derived neurotrophic factor is known to be important for the upregulation of synaptogenesis in the hippocampal, frontal and temporal cortex regions of the brain, which is the key point of exercise learning. Because of the positive effects on leptin-insulin metabolism and nutrition regulation, exercise has been documented as the correct first step for brain health in both healthy and traumatic brain injured people. By converting neurodegeneration to neurorestoration exercise helps to increase memory and recording capacity at brain.
