ABSTRACT
Ultrasonography (USG) is widely used today in many areas (such as abdominal, cardiac, gynecological, obstetric, urological, cerebrovascular and pediatric examinations). Moreover, in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation, diagnosis of muscle, tendon, ligament, joint and nerve lesions are the most important developments in recent years. At the same time, USG-guided liquid aspiration and various injections (corticosteroid, local anesthetic, botulinum toxin, platelet rich plasma etc.) and biopsy procedures (muscle, soft tissue, nerve sheath, joint spaces) are performed. This case report will mention the diagnostic value of USG examination used in the diagnosis of a patient with suprapatellar effusion and in the evacuation of this fluid with calcification.
