İngilizce ?crutch palsy? adıyla bilinen klinik tablo koltuk değneğinin basısı sonucunda oluşan üst ekstremitedeki çeşitli sinirlerin nöropati tablosudur. Makalemizde sunulan olguda sağ tibia kırığı nedeniyle on gündür koltuk değneği kullanmakta olan ve her iki el bileğini yukarı kaldıramama şikayetiyle başvuran 58 yaşındaki erkek hastaya öykü, klinik muayene bulguları ve yapılan elektrofizyolojik testler ile bilateral radial sinir kompresif nöropatisi tanısı konuldu. Olgumuz koltuk değneği kullanımını bırakarak, steroid olmayan anti-inflamatuar ilaç kullanımı ve rehabilitasyon programı ile 2 ay sonra önemli ölçüde iyileşti.

The ?crutch palsy? is the clinical entity of neuropathy of various nerves in upper extremities resulting from compression of crutches. The reported case in this article, a 58 years old male patient who was using crutches for ten days for his right tibial fracture and applied with the complaint of not to push-up his wrists has been diagnosed with bilateral radial nerve paralysis by his history, clinical examination findings and the electrophysiologic tests. He considerably improved by stopping the usage of the crutches, administiration of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug and rehabilitation programme within 2 months.
